It faces the continual challenge of aligning the interests of the governing board, management, shareholders and stakeholders. These governing members respond to their duties and responsibilities with full regard to transparency and accountability.
REAL RESPONSIBILITY
Our firm’s governing board governs and relies on distinct differences in the roles between board directors and managers. It was never intended for board directors to be directly involved in the daily operations of a corporation, however the Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman of DHS Ventures & Holdings are allowed to certainly engage in micromanaging the management.
The main role of DHS Ventures & Holdings governing board is to provide oversight and planning of all major operations and launching of initiatives and enterprise. Despite the differences, DHS Ventures & Holdings governing board and its directors may delegate certain powers to the CEO or CFO under certain circumstances.
The DHS Ventures & Holdings Governing Board also can regularly delegate some of the members’ duties to board committees. Governing board committees act as a subset of the full board. Committees devote the necessary time and resources to issues for which the full board doesn't have time. DHS Ventures & Holdings Committees delve deep into issues, often calling in experts to assist them. At DHS Ventures & Holdings, Committees provide regular reports to the board on the matters they're charged with handling.
